"My Name is Valerie. After the birth of my youngest son, I realized that the weight from the pregnancy wasn't coming off as easily as with my previous children. I had memberships to the local gyms and no matter how hard I worked, it just seemed a never-ending battle to get rid of the excess weight that I had put on. I decided to dump the gym and look into the services of a personal trainer. Encouragement was my biggest need and Kristin wasn't lacking that at all. I signed with her for a 12-week training program and started the life changing process. I set reasonable goals and reached them by the six-week mark in the program! I was so excited to find that with hard work I put in on the treadmill, a proper diet (not dieting), and strength training, I had exceeded my own expectations of myself. "Hi, my name is Mary! I'm in my late 30's married with two teenage daughters and I'm the most un-athletic person I know. I never participated in any sports even as a kid. As an adult, I thought "exercise" was a bad word! About four years ago, my husband convinced me to try skiing. He had to drag me kicking and screaming on to the slopes every year. Last year, I noticed that I was gaining weight and keeping it on! I realized I needed to include "regular activity" in my life.
I found Kristin's ad in the paper, called and set up a consultation and started training. After about a month I broke my foot in a skiing accident. But I didn't want to stop training. I knew that if I stopped, there was a good chance that I wouldn't start again. So I continued Pilates training cast and all! After 12 weeks, I am hooked! I haven't yet reached my weight goal, but I love the way my body feels. I am much stronger, I have more energy and most importantly I'm no longer as stressed out as I used to be."
