About the McKinney Adventure Boot Camp for Women

A four-week comprehensive program of fitness instruction, food modification, nutritional counseling, diet planning, & motivational training provided What is the McKinney Adventure Boot Camp for Women?
A four week outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional education and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by Certified Adventure Fitness Trainer, Kristin Goodenough. Each day, camp will be one hour in length starting at 5:30 am.

Where is the location we meet?
The McKinney Adventure Boot Camp meets at Towne Lake Recreation Area in McKinney. Alternate rain/snow days will be announced on the calendar page. Please click here to view exact Boot Camp details. Camps are held outdoors. The Boot Camp is conveniently located at Towne Lake Recreation Area and Wilson Creek Softball Complex - 1401 Wilson Creek Parkway. On select days, campers may travel a short distance away from the "base camp" for a fun hike day. You will receive your schedule prior to camp.

What types of exercises are included in the program?
Exercises include: core conditioning, functional training, short distance running (less than one mile), muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, hiking, obstacle courses, medicine ball training, Kick Boxing, Pilates mat exercises, surprises and more! This technique was developed by fitness expert John Spencer Ellis .

How often will we meet?
Participants will meet every Monday through Friday for one hour during the four-week program. There is also a 3 day option. All participants will be expected to arrive on time.

What if I'm not very physically fit?
NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.

What do I need to bring?
An exercise mat, small hand weights(5-8 lbs.), water bottle, running shoes, and a sense of adventure. You can purchase hand weights at any Target or Fitness Supply Store. There are several businesses that offer special incentives for our campers. You will be given details for participating businesses prior to the start of camp.

What can I achieve from camp?
Your body will become more fit and toned, and you will gain more confidence making a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. The camp program includes exercises designed to firm your butt and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and increase stamina. By losing fat and gaining muscle, you'll lose inches and gain strength while looking and feeling better. Also, you'll meet great people who share in the same vision of striving to reach their goals for a healthier mind and body. Plus you'll receive a FREE Adventure Boot Camp T-Shirt and earn your Adventure Boot Camp Dog Tags.

Why should I participate?
You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical and mental well-being. In addition, you'll meet great people who share your same passion for acquiring a more healthy body and mind. You will be finished with your training before the rest of the world has even gotten started! And, you'll be several hundred calories ahead of everyone else!

What is the cost (investment in myself)?
Each 4 week program is $299, averaging less than $15 per class. Where else can you get premiere or cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price? Personal trainers can typically charge $60 to $150 per hour for their services - this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.

Other Options:
You can also choose to come three days per week for $199. Note: even greater results occur when you enroll in the full 5 day per week program. We know this from years of experience.

We are now accepting pre-registration for the next camp. Once you have registered and payment has been received you will receive further camp details via e-mail and a follow up phone call to answer your questions. At that time you will also receive the location and time for our camp information meeting that is scheduled on the Saturday before the start of your camp. All campers are strongly encouraged to attend.

What you can expect:

  • Registration is just $299 for a 5 day 4-week camp (or $199 for the 3 day option).
